Acorn Life Visit

Thanks to Tony Raftery and Josie from Acorn Life for visiting our 5th year Business class this morning, 27-Apr-2017. They were invited in by a 5th year student, Liam Synott. Liam was asked to make a presentation on insurance because as part of school work experience he had the opportunity to work with Acorn life. Instead of doing the presentation himself Liam decided to invite Tony and Josie to speak to the whole class. It was a very informative session and Tony gave the class a great insight into the field of Insurance and about life and career options generally.
It is worth noting that Tony commended the efforts of Archbishop McHale College in promoting young people to take up work experience and reflected on the day Liam Synott presented himself to Acorn Life seeking a placement. Tony said that Liam was such a positive young lad it was testament to the positive environment at Archbishop McHale College.
As Tony played and trained alongside five time All Start hurler and local entrepreneur Pete Finnerty he treated the class to lunch in Supermacs.
Thanks Tony, Josie and Liam and all at Acorn Life.
